THE TR4 Communications Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture is collaborating with telecommunications providers Digicel and Flow set to release Fusarium Wilt TR4 text messages to all their customers. The messages will also be released on their respective websites and social media platforms as well.
The companies have both indicated their willingness to support this national interest awareness activity.
“In a time that requires heightened sensitization, we acknowledge their corporate responsibility as partners in promoting food security while protecting the livelihoods of many people,” noted the TR4 Communications Committee.
The Ministry of Agriculture continues to encourage all persons to avoid attempting to import or bring in planting materials without the necessary phytosanitary certificates. The Ministry is also asking persons to contact the Ministry or any extension officer should they notice any strange signs on their farms or backyards.
