Organised by the Department of Labour, the orientation exposed the workers to what they should expect when they arrive in Canada, importance of team work and deportment and the basic do`s and don`ts.

In his address to the gathering Labour Minister Hon. Stephenson King encouraged the workers to be quality Ambassadors for Saint Lucia. According to Minister King, the performance of the individual workers may result in the creation of fresh opportunities for even more Saint Lucia.

The group of 52 Saint Lucian men will leave the island on July 15, via special charter and will be employed on farms in various Provinces for a maximum of eight months.
