Central Castries Wins PM’s T20 Tourney

CENTRAL Castries emerged champions of the inaugural PM’s T20 cricket tournament in the finals they played at the La Resource Playing Field on Friday evening. In so doing they took home EC$10,000.00, the winner’s prize.

Batting first CC could only manage 150 for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs after being 59 for the loss of 3 wickets at the half way mark.

AlleyneProspere top scored with a 31, Jamal James got 32, StephenNaitrum made 28 with Alvin Prospere remain on 22 not out.

Bowling for South Castries, Kester Charlemagne was the best bowler with 2 for 15.

Chasing 151 for victory, South Castries never looked busy as they lost wickets at crucial intervals. Fast bowler Dillan John ran through the top order as they were all out for 93 in 16.5 overs.

Xavier Gabriel top scored with 24, and SwaidanAuguste chipped in with 14, while SherlonIsidore remained 11 not out.

Bowling for Central Castries Dillan John grabbed 4 for 18, Alvin Prospere 2 for 11 and AlleyneProspere picked up 2 for 26, Central Castries winning by 57 runs.

South Castries as losing finalist collected $7,000.00, Choiseul the third place finisher $4,000.00 and Laborie fourth place finisher, while Dornan Edward was named MVP of the Tournament.
