ST. BRYANSON “Saint” Soulage has released his debut single “Higher Than Ever”. The song showcases a fusion of Funk music and Caribbean elements.
“Higher than Ever” was written by Saint and recorded at EvaLucian Studios and features backups by Arthur Allain.
A natural born talent, blessed with an abundance of abilities and the will to push on despite the challenging circumstances he continues to face, St. Bryanson “Saint” Soulage is on the verge of greatness.
Born March 5 1994 in Soufriere, “Saint” as he is known to the music world began his musical journey from a tender age.
His innate desire to be creative led him to writing his own songs with his father and eldest brother from as young as 10 years old. Having attended the Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School, he helped form the band “Declassified” with school mates YannickPlante and Gus d’Auvergne (currently of EvaLucian).
Under the guidance of school music teacher, Mr. Christopher Fevriere and former Future Lights founder Augustus d’Auvergne, the band made appearances at school and community shows, and partnered with many community groups such as “I Can” and “RISE St. Lucia Inc”. Saint served as a guitarist and vocalist to the band, and often wrote original material which they would perform.
He further went on to pursue Architecture at the Division of Technical Education and Management Studies at the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, where he also became a prolific member of the School’s Art Club.
In accordance with his love for the arts, Saint also served as the Theatre Arts teacher at his alma mater Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School under short term appointment. He is also a founding member of “Comic Kidz”, a drama group who has a wealth of performance experience as well as putting on their own shows.
In 2015, Saint embarked on a mixtape project with Minor Productionz’ YannickPlante and Arthur Allain of EvaLucian, recording many songs which he released under the self titled “Saint” mixtape. Within the period he has graced many stages performing his recorded material.
With the desire to create avenues for himself, Saint took it upon his own to round up many of St. Lucia’s premiere hip hop artistes to tour the island. He continues to record material and develop his craft as a writer, producer, guitarist and vocalist.
Blessed with many abilities, Saint is also the proprietor of “Star Kuttz Barber Shop”. The world is at his fingertips, and with the drive he possesses, much can be expected from this musically blessed son.
