PAN-AMERICAN Life Insurance Company of the Eastern Caribbean, a member of Pan-American Life Insurance Group (PALIG), is celebrating its third anniversary of operations in St. Lucia with a customer appreciation day.

Customers visiting the company’s Mardini Building offices will be treated to light refreshments and tokens of appreciation.

“We are a people oriented company that values our customers and considers them an integral part of the Pan-American Life family,” noted Bill Schultz, the Group’s CEO and Managing Director – Caribbean. “Our focus as an organization is always on how we can best serve their needs; whether it’s by introducing new and innovative products, continuing to strengthen our operational framework or simply dedicating a day to showing our appreciation for the trust they place in us.”

Pan-American Life, a leading provider of insurance and financial services throughout the Americas, entered the Caribbean market in 2012 as part of a strategic decision to accelerate growth and expand its geographic footprint in the hemisphere.

“The growth trend for us since we began operating here has been positive,” Schultz added. “We expect that our continued focus on our core lines of business and our commitment to superior service delivery, will allow us to drive profitable and organic growth in St. Lucia as well as across the Caribbean.”

Earlier this year, Pan-American Life made industry headlines by announcing that they had agreed to a definitive merger of their mutual holding company with Mutual Trust Financial Holding Company. It is expected that upon closing, the combined company will operate with approximately US$1 billion in revenues, US$5.5 billion in total assets and US$ 1 billion in total capital.

“The merger is great news for all of our customers and strategic partners,” Schultz explained. “It makes Pan-American Life a stronger company, enhancing both our financial strength and our ability to meet the life, accident and health insurance needs of the markets we serve.”
