Gilroy Pultie Appointed LUCELEC Chief Engineer

St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Gilroy Pultie to the position of Chief Engineer.

Mr. Pultie holds an MBA with specialization in Finance (with distinction) from Heriot-Watt University, a Certified Diploma in Accounting & Finance (ACCA) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of the West Indies (with distinction).

He is certified in leadership development, strategy development and implementation, project management, utility regulation, fuel price hedging and business continuity. These are expected to serve him well in his new post and as a member of the companyā€™s Executive Management Team.

Since joining the company in 1993, Mr. Pultie has served in various management positions. InĀ 2003, he was appointed to lead LUCELECā€™s largest department – Transmission & Distribution. From September 2015 to January 2019 he was the companyā€™s Business Support Manager where he led the companyā€™s efforts in cost optimization and business process re-engineering,Ā gaining a deeper understanding of all LUCELECā€™s operations and how each department contributes to the achievement of the companyā€™s strategic goals.

Immediately prior to his appointment as Chief Engineer, he was seconded to Nevis Electricity Company (NEVLEC) as General Manager from September 2019 to August 2020.

Of his new position, he saysĀ ā€œI am always looking for opportunities to grow, and Iā€™m looking forward to continue contributing to shaping LUCELECā€™s future, in a different role and at a higher level.ā€

Mr. PultieĀ officially took up his duties on November 3, 2020 and replaces Mr. Goodwin dā€™Auvergne who retired from LUCELEC in November 2020, having served for 29 years.
