The national leg of the biggest pitch competition in the world will see the Preliminary Round on August 10th and National Finals on August 12th, 2020 via the Entrepreneurship World Cup Global Virtual Platform. This event is being hosted by SLUDTERA, in collaboration with Invest Saint Lucia and in partnership with Edge Marketing Inc., Startup Huddle St. Lucia, Advanced Intellectual Methods, SLDB, SBDC, 1st National Bank, SALCC, EcoCarib, The Cut Buddy, hannafitz.com, Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in St. Lucia, BELFUND, and the OECS.
The Entrepreneurship World Cup St. Lucia is the national leg of Entrepreneurship World Cup, a program that empowers entrepreneurs at all levels – from idea stage through scale-up – helping them reach the next stage in their journey. It combines a massive pitch competition with access to a global platform with virtual training resources, targeted mentoring, valuable perks, potential investment, and a shot at life-changing prizes.
The Entrepreneurship World Cup is an initiative of the Misk Global Forum, Global Entrepreneurship Network and the Global Education and Leadership Foundation, backed by a broad collection of entrepreneurial support organizations and strategic partners.
Entrepreneurship World Cup St. Lucia 2020 theme is “Awaken the Entrepreneur in You amid COVID-19”. This comes at a time when the island and the region is faced with uncertainty. This edition of the Entrepreneurship World Cup St. Lucia will serve to highlight some of the most pressing contemporary challenges and potential solutions facing Saint Lucia amid COVID-19. The event will also address topics such as agriculture, pandemic preparedness, tourism, workforce shortages, and technological disruptions amid a crisis and others.
