Lewis expressed her gratitude to the party for showing confidence in her ability to perform the task assigned as the party’s spokesperson.

“I will make myself available to the press for every question that you have,” Lewis told media practitioners at the press conference.

“I really want to see more young people get involved in politics whether in your community or on a national level,” Lewis said, herself a former president of the SLP Youth organization.

She said she is happy that the party included a woman and a youthful person, like herself, in its campaign to form the next government of the country.
