The St. Lucia Youth Business Trust is therefore pleased to announce that the 2nd cohort is scheduled to run from June 15th 2020 to August 5th 2020. This second edition will target youth, young entrepreneurs and startups in the community of Micoud.

Like the first cohort, this forms part of a regional project funded by the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB). The CDB’s intention is to educate and tutor young entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 35, affording them the ability to create self-employment opportunities through, among other things, the provision of entrepreneurial training, finance and mentorship. The training will cover the areas of Idea Generation, Resource Management, Brand Development, Finance Management and Strategic Management.

The training will comprise a total of sixty (60) contact hours. Unlike the first cohort who initially attended physical training sessions within their communities prior to the imposition of COVID-19 social distancing protocols, this cohort will solely utilize virtual delivery of training content. The remaining contact hours will be constituted by participants’ field testing and market surveys. Youth Business International trained facilitators Mr. Donovan Williams and Ms. Agnella Joseph will be administering the training.

Interested youth are invited to contact the constituency office and the Youth Business Trust Office for further information.
