Saveion Collaborates with Government & International Artistes for ‘Music and You’ Capacity Building Workshop

IT’S been an exciting year for young Saint Lucian artiste Saveion who recently got his big international break. He is now set to release his first single, a collaboration with renowned Jamaican artistes Serani and Nicky B.

Saint Lucian artiste Saveion will this month host a capacity building workshop for aspiring artistes.

Saveion, Nicky B and Serani are currently getting set to produce a music video for the single ‘Perfect Body’ which will showcase Saint Lucia’s unique culture and scenic beauty to global audiences.

But Saveion’s commitment to promoting and contributing to his country does not stop there. He has seized the opportunity to maximize the artiste’s presence in Saint Lucia by hosting a capacity building workshop for local artistes. ‘The ‘Music and You’ workshop with legendary Jamaican songwriter and producer Michael “Mikey” Bennet is being hosted in collaboration with the Government of Saint Lucia, Result International Media and Danielle Du Bois of Drama Can. The initiative seeks to help Saint Lucian artistes gain valuable insight and training in areas such as performance techniques and marketing of music. This is expected to be extremely beneficial as it will assist artistes in developing and marketing unique, home-grown sounds.

The workshop will take place from 1 p.m. on Saturday November 23rd, 2019 at the Bay Gardens Beach Resort and Spa Conference Room in Rodney Bay. The activity will also feature contributions from Grammy nominated Nicky B and Serani who recently collaborated with internationally acclaimed artiste Burna Boy and US mainstream artiste Jeremih on their hit song ‘Secret’. Michael Bennett who will be hosting the workshop has worked with regional and international stalwarts in the music industry such as Cyndi Lauper, Shabba Ranks, LL Cool J and the legendary BujuBanton to name a few.
