CFC/ BOSL AND LUCELEC YOUTH TOURNAMENT: Flow Lancers FC Dominate Weekend Showpiece

FLOW Lancers FC Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15 teams proved too strong for their opponents this past weekend as football action continued in the Castries Football Council (CFC) Youth Football Tournament sponsored by Bank of Saint Lucia and LUCELEC.

The excitement continued in the Under 11 Division, when Flow Lancers FC maintained their unbeaten run defeating FC Pioneers 3 – 2 in the first semifinal.

They got their goals with a brace (2) from Krishonne Amedee and Torres Harris. Jason Joncarte scored both goals for FC Pioneers.

In the other semifinal, Valley Soccer edged out NYAH FC in a keenly contested match with the lone goal scored by Levi Stiede. Score 1 – 0.

The finals will now be played between Flow Lancers and Valley Soccer.

In the Under 13 Division, VSADC and Valley Soccer played to an entertaining goalless draw which brought out the best from both teams. Following the awarding of extra time the score was still goalless.

However, though the goal keepers stood out in the ensuing penalty shootout, Janquan John was able to power VSADC to the final with the only goal scored.

In the other semifinal Flow Lancers FC defeated FC Pioneers 2 – 1 with a brace by Vernroy Alfred. Kurt Curtrel pulled one back for Pioneers.

The resultant final will now be played by Flow Lancers FC and VSADC.

The Under 15 Division lived up to all expectations, providing lots of excitement for the appreciative crowd.

In the first match Flow Lancers dominated their encounter against VSADC defeating them 3 – 0. Their goals were scored by Kalum Marius, Nayo Mathews and an own goal.

The other semifinal saw GMC United enjoying a 2 – 0 advantage over Valley Soccer at half time, with early goals by Kareem Knight and Mikel Castang.

On the resumption Valley Soccer staged a mini comeback, but despite being awarded a penalty which was converted by Rawson Harris was unable to make any further headway as GMC United ran away winners 2 – 1.

The finals will now feature Flow Lancers FC and GMC United.

To date, Flow Lancers have secured three Final berths.
