New QGM Date for Chamber of Commerce

THE St Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture is pleased to announce that the previously postponed Quarterly General Meeting which was scheduled for August 27th will now be held on the 26th of September, 2019. The meeting will be held at the Palmville Conference Centre at the Coco Palm Hotel in Rodney Bay from 5:30 p.m.

The Agenda, though slightly altered, promises to be just as insightful and interesting. The evening’s proceedings are still slated to commence with the President of the Chamber’s Board of Directors Karen Peter briefing members on the work of the Chamber since the last QGM in April, earlier this year.

“A Word from NEMO – Disaster Preparedness” will then follow giving members another opportunity to give more serious thought towards establishment and implementation of Business Continuity Plans. In the wake of the 2019 Hurricane Season and more recently, the devastation of Hurricane Dorian, business owners are reminded that preparedness remains one of the most vital factors in ensuring that their firms are safeguarded against the possible impacts of natural disasters.

Additionally, the Agenda will feature the Law and Order Update by Acting Commission of Police Milton Desir. He will be delving into the ongoing efforts being employed by the Government and Police in this regard.
