Update of Works Under Smart Health Facilities Project

THE Saltibus, La Fargue, and Mongouge wellness centers have been closed for retrofitting works from December 6, 2018, under the SMART Health Facilities project, geared towards safer, greener and more sustainable facilities. The works are now complete and the wellness centers have reopened for services to the public effective Monday, August 5, 2019.

As of Monday, August 12, 2019, the Monchy Wellness Center is closed for retrofitting under the SMART Health Facilities project. The scope of works includes repairs and retrofitting; making the facilities more energy efficient and adaptable to the effects of climate change. As a result, health services will be redirected to the Gros Islet Polyclinic and Grande Riviere Wellness Center. Outreach clinics and home visiting will continue in the community.

Clients are also free to access services at any of the other wellness centers during this time.

The retrofitting works is expected to last approximately three months.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness therefore seeks the support of the general public, especially from the affected communities.
