SLFA North Zone U17 Competition onto Final Preliminary Round

FOOTBALL action continues today with three matches in the preliminary round of the Saint Lucia Football Association (SLFA) Inc. Northern Zone Under 17 boys tournament.

At the Corinth Playing Field, in a Group A encounter, Northern United plays Garrand FC at 1.00 p.m. Both teams currently on 0 points will be looking to salvage some pride as they seek to win their first encounter.

A double header in Group A is scheduled for the La Clery Playing Field from 1.00 p.m. VSADC on 3 points will play Lancers FC on 7 points.

At 3.00 p.m. Flames FC on 3 points will come up against Hill Top United who sit at the bottom of the table with 0 points.

Meanwhile, the organizers of SLFA Inc. North Zone Under 17 competition have taken a decision that all teams who were fixtured to play Reduit FC have subsequently been awarded three points each and the accompanying three goals.

It will be recalled that following the first round of matches Reduit FC subsequently were no longer in the competition.

As a result, prior to the last round of matches, the points standing are listed below.

Group A: FC Pioneers – 11 points, New Generations – 10 points, Lancers FC – 7 points, VSADC – 3 points, Northern United – 0 points and Garrand FC – 0 points

Group B: Big Players – 15 points, GMC – 12 points, Valley Soccer – 6 points, B1 FC – 6 points, Flames FC – 3 points and Hill Top United – 0 points.
