Alicia John T20 Women Cricket Competition

In the play-off match between Gros Islet and Choiseul in the Alicia John T 20 Women Cricket competition which was played on Saturday 13th July 2019 at the Mindoo Phillip Park, Gros Islet secured a final spot with a hard fought two wicket victory.

Batting first Choiseul was bowled for 68 in 12.2 overs, with Roylin Cooper top scoring with 33.

Bowling for Gros Islet, Heidi Sandiford picked up 3 for 11 in 1.2 overs; Qiana Joseph took 2 for 14 in 4 overs with one wicket each to Malika Edward and Sky Smith Emmanuel.

Requiring 69 for victory, Gros Islet had to pull all stops to scrape home by 2 wickets in the final delivery of their allotted 15 overs.

For Gros Islet, Malika Edward top scored with 26 and Qiana Joseph scoring 13.

For Choiseul, Roylin Cooper, Shernia Cooper, Alliyah Alfred and Julia Simon picked up one wicket each.

On Sunday 14th, in a rain affected match played at the Mindoo Phillip Park between South Castries and Choiseul; South Castries batting first scored 57 all out in 15.1 overs with Nerissa Crafton scoring 10, Maria David 6. Extras 21.

Bowling for Choiseul, Roylin Cooper bagged 3 for 5; Rena Eugene took 3 for 13; Julia Simon 1 for 1; Sherma Cooper 1 for 16 and Alia Alfred 1 for 18.

Chasing 58 for victory, Choiseul was in a state of bother at 25 runs for the loss of 3 wickets when the rain came. Roylin Cooper not out 11 and Shermika Cooper not out 0.  Julia Simon made 8.

Bowling for South Castries, Maria David picked up 1 for 1 and Teaddie Crawford 1 for 11.
