Suspects Arrested for Arms and Drugs

On the morning of Thursday May 16th, at approximately 5:30 am, police executed the operations of a search warrant at a residence in Grande Riviere, Gros Islet. During the search a 9mm berretta pistol, fourteen rounds of ammunition and a quantity of illicit drugs, the nature of which was unspecified, were discovered.

Four individuals, all male, have been taken into police custody in connection with the findings of this search. One of the suspects sustained gunshot injuries during the arrest, and was admitted to the Victoria Hospital. The circumstances of these gunshot injuries have not yet been disclosed by local police.

In an unrelated incident which transpired less than a fortnight ago, police officers conducted a search upon the person of a 31-year-old male resident also of Grande Riviere, Gros Islet, and discovered a .380 pistol and ten rounds of ammunition. The individual was subsequently charged for illegal firearm possession. Residents of Grand Riviere are beginning to express concern over what appears to be a worsening trend of criminal activity in the community. Some residents however, have commended the police on their progress in curbing crime by removing illegal firearms from the community.

  1. Still too damn soft on crime: you can only see a positive result
    when you start whipping some asses, in the same community
    where they were living/operating so as to show or send a definite
    message to any future miscreant, of what to expect from the Law.
    Don’t worry about so called civil write lawyers, just stop the crime.
