Prime Minister, Allen Chastanet, said on his official Facebook page that he is extremely proud of the work which Mrs Diane Felicien and her team from Volunteer Saint Lucia, which operates out of the Office of the Prime Minister, have been doing.

Chastanet expressed special thanks to the Saint Lucia International Diaspora Association, Tapion Hospital Dialysis Unit, Maraj Limited, Full Gospel Harvest Youth Ministry, Mendy’s Beauty Salon, the Ministry of Social Justice & Equity, the various volunteers islandwide and ‘other fellow Saint Lucians’ who have contributed in one way or the other.

The Rose Hill fire in the wee hours of New Year’s Day destroyed seven homes, leaving most victims with only the clothing they were wearing when they fled the blaze.
