Fond Doux recognised as TripAdvisor Hall of Famer

AFTER five years of awarding the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence to Fond Doux Plantation & Resort the management & staff are now pleased and honoured to be included in the TripAdvisor Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame celebrates excellence in hospitality and was created to honour those businesses that have earned the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years.

ā€œWe couldnā€™t be more proud to celebrate this 5-year milestoneā€ says, Managing Director Lyton Lamontagne.

When selecting Certificate of Excellence winners, TripAdvisor uses a proprietary algorithm to determine the honourees that take into account the quality, quantity and recency of reviews and opinions submitted by travellers on TripAdvisor over a 12month period as well as businessā€™s tenure and ranking on the Popularity Index on the site.

ā€œWe are thankful for all of the positive reviews and enduring guest relationships fostered throughout the course of the yearsā€ says, Executive Director Eroline Lamontagne. She continues on to say that ā€œthe resortā€™s success would not be possible without her dedicated staff and management team who continue to exceed the expectations of all guestsā€.

Staff development is integral to the Lamontagneā€™s and they continue to meet the essential training needs of their staff through training programmes. Last week, five supervisors between Fond Doux Plantation & Resort & its sister company Eroline Foods successfully completed a ā€œSupervisory Management Courseā€ with the University of the West Indies (UWI) and also participated in a Train the Trainer workshop hosted by the Human Development Network.

Fond Doux Plantation & Resort was also recognised by the hospitality experts at AAA declaring the resort as one of the best. Based on the most recent evaluation by the AAA Inspector, the resort was awarded ā€œInspectorsā€™ Best of Wow Effectā€ which makes the resort elite and among the AAA Inspectors Best of lodgings.

Eroline and Lyton Lamontagne confirmed that their vision is to be the leading provider of hospitality in the region through preservation of the Saint Lucian heritage with authentic and eco-friendly tourism as an inspiration to create unique and memorable experiences for all our guests.
