A Musical Extravaganza At Big Chef Steakhouse & Tapas On The Bay

BUILDING on the remarkable reputation of its 2016 and 2017 Jazz Festival events, Tapas On The Bay and Big Chef Steakhouse are all set to stage their 2018 Jazz Celebrations. Beginning May 3rd 2018 and continuing right through to May 13th, patrons can enjoy 10 days of intimate dining and concert experiences.

The Big Chef Steakhouse, located in the heart of Rodney Bay is revered for its perfectly prepared Angus beef, crisp salads, succulent local fish and other seafood, chic and comfortable lounge bar with its killer cocktails, sumptuous desserts and top tier wine list. As customary, the “Boo, Jazz and Big Chef” production held here, will feature Ronald “Boo” Hinkson and some of Saint Lucia’s most exceptional jazz musicians

The sweet sounds of Ronald “Boo” Hinkson accompanied by Semi Francis can be heard on many a Saturday night at BigChef. From the legendary Tru Tones group to his now solo act, Boo continues to achieve some of the most notable accomplishments in the Saint Lucian music industry. On Saturday May 5th, he will be joined by Barbara Cadet on saxophone, Clarence Joseph on trumpet, Danyl Daniel on keyboard, Nicky Pamphile on bass Denzil Leon on drums and vocalist Werner “Semi” Francis. Boo will return with Werner “Semi” Francis on Saturday May 12th.

As if the above were not already menus made in heaven, also in concert on various nights from 7:30pm at Big Chef, will be Kenson Hippolyte on Piano and Vocals, Eugene Payne on Piano and Dellie Florenville also on Piano.

Next door to the Big Chef Steakhouse, at Tapas On The Bay, the Voices On The Bay production will showcase some of Saint Lucia’s finest rising stars. The events at the funky Spanish style setting on the Rodney Bay waterfront will begin on Friday May 4th with Rob Zii Taylor & Phyness.

Famous for incorporating traditional bite-sized tapas with Saint Lucian and Caribbean influences, fine wines, sangrias and other pitcher drinks, Tapas on the Bay will begin serving from their Global Tastes From Paradise 2018 menu, another great reason to come out and create memories to last a lifetime.

The nights will continue with music from Flowric- Zach Popo &Dennisha Marshall (guitar and vocals), Rashaad Joseph (sax and vocals), Michael Robinson &DellieFlorenville (piano and vocals) and Rob Zii Taylor &Phyness featuring Empress Eka (sax and vocals).

Make reservations on Sunday May 13th for a Mother’s Day treat. From 10:00 am breakfast is served. Dine waterside and enjoy music from Mervyn Wilkinson at 11:00 am. A special Three Course Menu for $100 EC is available all day. Enjoy the soulful jazzy sounds of Barbara Cadet from 1:30pm.
