Within the next five years, Francis assured, the Yello Media Group wants to offer customers additional avenues for advertising and marketing.

“As a business, we see ourselves in the next two to five years as really cementing our position as the number one media advertising provider. We have made very good strides just in the last nine months with everything from search engine marketing, creating our own display network. We are into TV advertising, creating videos, websites, you name it. We are almost in every single part where a customer’s advertising budget will go,” Francis said.

Yello celebrated customers under the theme “Luxurious” – an evening that brought customers and staff of the transformative company together as family. It was an opportunity for business peers, public sector representatives and friends to chit-chat over their partnerships with Yello Media. Among them was Managing Director of Jn. Marie and Sons, Everistus Jn. Marie.

“We have been with Yello and its predecessor Yellow Pages for as long as I can remember being in business. What I’m impressed with is they have kept up with the times and the product has continually been improved and they are making much of the social media,” Jn. Marie said.

He added, “I think it is very much in keeping with a futuristic outlook in terms of marketing and growing business. So they are a great partner to be with, and I can only say that I am happy to have had the association with them and look forward to a better association down the road.”

Leader of the Opposition, Philip J. Pierre, congratulated the company for making the transformation from paper to a digital platform, and was hopeful that small businesses in the sub-region would be encouraged to utilize its services.

“What I am very happy with is the transformation – they have transformed from just the book into online programmes, using technology,” Pierre said. “I hope they can continue, and I would like them to make small businesses grow. It’s very important that small businesses grow and expand; use technology, use advertising. And I’m happy that Yello is doing that.”

Guests were welcomed with cocktails before participating in the main event which included the best of live local entertainment, featuring Clarence Joseph and Allison Marquis, Ronald “Boo” Hinkson, Irvin “Ace” Loctar and Werner “Semi” Francis. Soca star Teddyson John brought the house down with a dance segment.

The new Find Yello St. Lucia app, which has been updated with fun and exciting features, can now be downloaded on any Android or iPhone via the Google Playstore or the App Store.
