Police Football-o-Rama Tomorrow Honours Fallen Cop

THE Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) in collaboration with the Police Welfare Association and the Police Sports Club have organised the inaugural Randy Abott Small Goal Football-o-Rama under the theme, “Community Policing begins with me”.

This activity is slated for tomorrow, Sunday, and will be held at the La Ressource Playing Field, Dennery.

This competition is held in memory of deceased Police Constable 348 Allen Randy Abott, who was an active football player at the time of his passing. The day’s event will start off with an official ceremony at 9:00 a.m., with the official kick-off at 10:00 a.m.

Seventeen teams have registered their participation in the tournament, including St. Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority, St. Lucia Fire Service, Bordelais Correctional Facility and the Boys’ Training Centre.

The tournament will be a knockout competition where the finalist will play against deceased Abott’s team, Survivors Sports Club.

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force invites all persons within the community and surrounding areas to come out in large numbers to lend support to the event. There will be games and entertainment for kids, including a bouncing castle and trampoline.
