Regional, International Media Here For Jazz

SOLEIL – Saint Lucia Summer Festival is garnering interest from a number of regional and international media houses.

Saint Lucia Jazz started on Thursday evening at the Royalton Saint Lucia with Ronald “Boo” Hinkson and the Young Stars. That show and the rest of the festival will be covered with live updates and streams on social media, in print and on radio in Martinique and Barbados.

Saint Lucia Jazz will also be covered extensively with two television and radio shows live from Saint Lucia on Martinique Premiere TV and Radio that will include interviews with government officials, artistes and patrons.

Davandra Babb of Barbados Today, in commenting on her experience at Thursday night’s show, remarked that, “I thoroughly enjoyed (it), especially as this is my first time covering the festival, it exceeded my expectations. The press office has been especially great in the facilitation of us and assisting with all our requests.”

Saint Lucia Jazz, the kick-off to Soleil Saint Lucia Summer Festival, will run from May 11– 14, culminating with the favoured Mother’s Day show featuring Vanessa Williams, Rachelle Ferrell and Malavoi this Sunday.

The festival’s renewed emphasis on pure jazz has sparked much interest and Saint Lucia is proud to welcome journalists from as far as Italy and France to witness what promises to be a spectacular event.
