THE National Cultural Centre will be a hive of a major sporting activity on Saturday when the St. Lucia Amateur Bodybuilding and Body Fitness Association hosts its Annual National Bodybuilding and Body Fitness Championship.
According to the President of the local association, Jaqueline Trim, over 20 athletes have registered for the championships and will showcase their skills and talents in Bikini, Body Fitness, Physique and Bodybuilding.
The participants will represent Alidies Gym, Vel’s Fitness Centre, Fitness Freaks, Laborde’s Gym, Sidonie’s Brothers Gym and Mango Moon.
The Bikini category will feature – Anita Peter (Lifestyle Fitness), and Sherlika St. Marie (Vel’s Gym).
Bodybuilding: KirtonHubert (Laborde’s GYM), Larry Monrose (Gregor’s Gym), St. George Prospere (Vel’s Gym), Orville James (Sidonie’s Gym).
Physique: Denver Williams, Miller Charles (Fitness Freaks), Zimran Leon, Simeon Mathurin (Mango Moon), Peter Prospere, Lance Etienne (Alidies Gym).
Figure: Donna Samuel (Fitness Freaks), Velda John, Claudia Ladner (Vel’s Gym).
Also on stage will be guest poser, Desmond Patterson, Guyanese by birth, but citizen of Dutch St. Martin Patterson will grace the stage and entice the audience while Caribbean and Central America Chief Judge, Errol Williams, will be present to do service
