Goodwill Swim Meet this Weekend

A challenging weekend lies ahead for team St. Lucia as they battle Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Guyana and Suriname and guests, the Bahamas in the XXII Goodwill Swim Meet. The event commenced last evening at the Rodney Heights Aquatic Centre.

Five swimmers from Lightning Aquatic (LA) Swim: Club Ethan Hazell, Karic Charles, Annaliese Gallaird, Naima Hazell and Naekeisha Louis with Yannick Lane as a reserve, will join approximately 34 from various local clubs to make up Team St. Lucia.

Just last month in preparation for Goodwill, team LA walked away with 3rd place at the Karen Beaubrun Swim Meet. The team’s contingence of about 21 swimmers were able to cop several awards…

What is even more remarkable is that many swimmers achieved person best times. President, Tessa Charles-Louis said: “Lightning Aquatics has put on yet another spectacular performance at Karen Beaubrun. We are proud of all our swimmers”.
