CDF’s Emancipation Exhibition Opens August 20

THE Cultural Development Foundation (CDF) is into its final preparations for the Annual Emancipation Exhibition.

The Exhibition showcases interpretations of the Emancipation Theme through the visual and plastic arts and is part of the CDF’s overall efforts to raise public appreciation of and participation in the Visual and Plastic Arts.

The timing is also arranged to provide a convenient resource for Arts students of all ages, and interactive activities are incorporated into the event and its promotion to build engagement between artists and their audience.

The exhibition will centre around the theme: “Post Emancipation: The Saint Lucian – Psyche Resistance, Relevance or Resolution.” and will feature work from Sabrina Romulus Bill Mortley and Arnold Toulon. The exhibition will run from August 20 – September 17 and will be open Monday – Friday (9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.) and Saturdays (9:00 .am. – 1:00 p.m).

The official opening of the exhibitionis on Saturday August 20 at 5:00 p.m. on the ground floor of the Blue Coral Mall. The launch will include a stimulating theatrical presentation as well as an exciting auction, which art collectors and lovers of the arts will be specially invited to.
