St. Lucia Netball Association has named its squad for the Eastern Caribbean States Central Bank Under – 23 Netball Championships scheduled for St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The experienced and attacking player Ianna Hippolye will lead St.Lucia charge along with eleven other players in SVG. This will be Hippolyte’s third consecutive run at the Under – 23 level.
The competition runs until next Thursday St. Lucia last won this tournament at home in 2014, while finishing third in 2015 in Basseterre.
The full squad reads, Ianna Hippolyte, Verne Alexander, Joselyn Hubert, Tamara Samuel, Nena Joseph, Jo-Anne Anderson, Siana Jameson, Everlou Linor, Megan Nestor, Jermiah Evariste, Kiana Nelson, Tanny William.
Missing out on selection this time around are goal shoot Kamala Mangal and defensive player Chattany Poleon. In 2014 Poleon emerged as the Junior Netballer of the Year, no word was given by Netball St.Lucia as to the reasons for their omission.
