St. Lucia Wooing Visitors for Carnival

THIS July, Saint Lucia hotels are offering travellers a variety of ways to celebrate Lucian Carnival, with promotional deals of up to 50 percent off standard rates.

One of the Caribbean’s most exciting festivals, Lucian Carnival (July 13 – 19) is a rich display of sights and sounds.

As carnival celebrations begin visitors can learn to “lime” (hang out/socialize) like a local during a week filled with parties, competitions and exhibitions.

From the King and Queen of the Bands competition to Junior Carnival, j’ouvert and the Parade of the Bands, Lucian Carnival gives locals, annual revelers and visitors the opportunity to fĆŖte through the streets of Castries in true Caribbean fashion.

“A visit during carnival season is an experience unlike any other, where travellers have the opportunity to become immersed in the Saint Lucian culture one song at a time,” said Tracey Warner-Arnold, Deputy Director of Tourism. “As carnival continues to grow in popularity, the Saint Lucia Tourist Board in conjunction with our hotel partners are primed to welcome visitors from across the globe.”
