M&C Donates to Worthy Cause

THE M&C Group of Companies (M&C) has made two monetary donations to worthy causes.

The company has made a contribution of $3000 towards Faces of Cancer St. Lucia’s ongoing fund-raising efforts, aimed at providing counselling and medical assistance to cancer patients and survivors from various communities on island.

Over the years the non-profit organization has actively raised the public awareness of cancer in Saint Lucia, and has continued to encourage and support those battling the disease, while also offering support to their families.

Faces of Cancer St. Lucia’s President, Mrs. Dorothy Phillip said she was grateful for the contribution from M&C which would be used to cover medical treatment for St. Lucians who are bravely battling and living with cancer.

The M&C Group also donated $1000 towards the annual Rotaract 7030 Conference for 2016. This year’s conference will be held in St. Lucia from June 16 to 20, under the theme “30 Years of Growth, Innovation, Fellowship, Togetherness and Service- G.I.F.T.S.”

The four day conference will feature training sessions for all members and will also include members participating in selected community service projects around St. Lucia. Some 150 participants from the region spanning from the island of St. Kitts to Suriname are expected to attend..

Mr. EveristusJn Marie Jr., Past President of the Rotaract Clubs of St. Lucia, expressed his gratitude for M&C’s monetary contribution towards the conference.
