U-14 Games at V-Fort Today

TRACK and Field returns to the George Odlum Stadium Vieux Fort today when the St. Lucia Athletics Association stages in the first of two qualifiers for 1st National Bank St. Lucia Limited 14 and Under at 10:00 a.m.

The championship which is in its 23rd year continues to be a breeding ground for young athletes between the ages of 7-14 years.

The one day qualifier will see 211 athletes from the following clubs vying for places in the grand finals at the Mindoo Phillip Park on May 15 – Abilene, Cheetahs, Choiseul, District Six, Night Riders and Pacesetters.

Absent today will be Soufriere Athletics, Etangs Combined and Choiseul Juniors. These teams have requested that they participate in the northern qualifiers scheduled for May 7, at the Mindoo Phillip Park.

The top 16 field events athletes from the two qualifiers will advance to the grand finals while the top 24 track athletes will qualify.

Meanwhile, the SLAA wish to remind all Technical Officials that the bus to the Stadium leaves the Derek Walcott Square from 7:00 a.m.
