A BLOW FOR FAIRNESS

THE EDITOR:
DOES anyone realise that elections would have been called already if the UWP had not had the guts to file that case against the Boundaries Commission?

For those who don’t know, the Boundaries Commission was comprised of a majority of Labour Party hacks and it issued a report suggesting that certain boundaries should be cut in a particular manner and that the seats should be increased by four making 21 constituencies.

Guess which party would have been adversely affected? Guess which party would have benefitted from the cutting of the boundaries? The SLP might have remained in power forever if this case were not filed.

Does anyone think they were proposing this cut to benefit the UWP? To benefit the nation as a whole? It is well known that Labour’s plans were made and candidates were promised all sorts of things, one even came from England to run a seat but at the eleventh hour the UWP delivered a stroke of genius which must have stuck in the craw of Kenny Anthony. He is the one always taking everyone to court at taxpayers’ expense.

As the wheels of justice grind ever so slowly here, no decision has yet been given in the case with the result that Kenny and his cronies have to run with just the 17 seats and with the current constituency make-up. But much more importantly, our nation now has the chance to make sure that this decision, when taken, is carried out fairly, impartially and correctly.

The Boundaries Commission is one of our most sacred bodies and what the UWP has done is to strike a blow for fairness, to keep it free of political interference and to try to preserve the integrity of this body for future generations. Thank you UWP.

What a load of Fokry! Boundary Commissions are always Political instruments, and if Fokry had a clue of what it was talking about such crap would not have been written by Fakry.

    1. Tell his again SON-OF-MAN. When the Micoud seat was divided was that done to the advantage of the SLP? I don’t think so! Well all know Micoud has always voted UWP. If it wasn’t a problem then why is it a problem now? Both the party and its hacks are a bunch of cry babies and I think the best they can do is prepare for next election the best they without causing any ripples. This is what is expected of them by the upholders of the democratic processes.
