ST. LUCIA recorded two more tragic deaths over the weekend: one homicide and one suicide.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 42 year old, Sebastien Mitchell of La Croix Maingot, Castries. They say that shortly after midnight Saturday, Mitchell was involved in a dispute with his brother when he sustained a single gunshot wound to the left shoulder at La Croix Maingot.
He was transported to the Victoria Hospital where he was pronounced dead by a medical doctor. This was the sixth homicide for 2016.
A 39 year old, Norbert Leonce of Cabiche, Babonneau is believed to have taken his life Sunday morning. His body was discovered suspended by the neck under a tree in Cabiche.
