UK Surveyor To Discuss Boundary Problems Here

UK-SurveyorTHE St. Lucia Institute of Surveyors (ISSL) in association with the UK based Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) will next Wednesday hold a one-day session on the topic ā€œBoundary Disputes and Neighbourly Problemsā€ in the Conference Room of the Royal by Rex Resorts.

The session will be conducted by Mr. David Powel ā€“ FRICS, a Chartered Surveyor and Boundary Demarcation Expert based in the United Kingdom.

Mr.TedburtTheobalds, Vice President of the ISSL, said that the presentation would cover pertinent areas and will explain how to handle property disputes; managing expectations in boundary disputes, the limitations of deed plans and surveyorsā€™ measurements;,internal (part-wall) boundary; long standing boundary features that may differ to deeds; liason between surveyors and lawyers, giving evidence in court, and marking out a boundary.

Powell was born and educated in Birmingham, England. He is qualified as a land surveyor, with over 15 years experience.

He currently owns a firm in the UK and operates as a consultant throughout Europe and further afield.

Powell was a founding member of the RICS Boundaries and Party Walls Panel, is a past chairman of the land surveying division of the RICS, was a founding member the Land Registry Committee and the current author of the ā€œ Ansleyā€™s Boundary Disputesā€ series of books.
