FUTSAL LEAGUE KICKS OFF MARCH 9

THE second annual Inter-Commercial Futsal League organized by the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce will kick off on Wednesday March 9 at the Beausejour Indoor Practice Facility and promises to be bigger and better this time around with a record number of teams.

Junior Secretary at the St.Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Kashima Noel noted that the league is for working persons and is part of the Chamber’s healthy lifestyles initiative.

Noel said, “This is an opportunity for the various business houses to engage in friendly rivalry. The event will run for at least six weeks, four days weekly – Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays – as we seek to make this event a memorable and successful one”.

All companies and government ministries are encouraged to create teams and participate in this stress relieving activity. Registration for the tournament ends on Monday2 February 29, while the deadline for late registrations Thursday March 3.

Last year Peter and Company emerged as champions with a 2 -1 win over St. Lucia Distillers.
