MEMBER of the Rotary club of Saint Lucia, and paid workers , were busy over the weekend, working alongside newly elected club president Timothy James and members of Castries Comprehensive Secondary School’s Student Council and Interacters, to renovate the school’s toilets in time for the reopening of school yesterday.

Public relations officer of the Rotary club Rudolph “Doddy” Francis, while working on the project, told the press: “We received a request from the Students Council, stating that most of their toilets were not working and efforts at getting the Ministry of Education to repair them were unsuccessful. So the Rotary Club considered the request very deserving. We have an Interacters club at the school so we decided to work with them and the Council, along with the other workers, and we are satisfied with the work”

Vice-president of the Students Council Rochelle Emmanuel who came out to lend a hand said: “I am happy to see how the work is going. For some time our toilets were in a mess. Come Monday there will be no writings on the wall thanks to the Rotary Club of St. Lucia. Part of my vacation was well spent assisting here “
