THE Sports & Social Committee of Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa is set for its big fun walk event scheduled for this coming Sunday.
The inaugural annual event “Walk for Your Cause” is organized to allow members of the public to identify with any mainstream concerns which they have. These may include: the environment, wellness, abuse, poverty, etc.
The event will commence from 7:00 a.m. just outside of Coconut Bay and will follow a route traveling north from the starting point through La Resource past Vieux Fort town and to culminate at the Recreation Park in Beane Field, Vieux Fort.
Apart from their registration package, which includes an attractive T Shirt, participants in the walk will have the opportunity to win a number of prizes including a complimentary night stay at Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa.
Persons interested in participating in “Walk for Your Cause” are reminded that they can register at Lime offices in Vieux Fort, Scotia Bank, Vieux Fort Branch, The Cell on Clarke Street, and Nail Candy at Gablewoods South. Late registrants will also be facilitated before commencement of the walk. Registration fee is EC $20.00 Adults and EC $15.00 Children.
The Sports & Social Committee is responsible for spearheading a number of community and socially oriented initiatives undertaken by Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa. Sunday’s walk will also provide persons an opportunity to identify with the work of the committee, which includes cheque disbursements to St Jude Hospital to date amounting to over EC $30, 000.
Members of the public and persons from the south in particular are invited to demonstrate their passion by taking part in “Walk for Your Cause” on Sunday.
