A 63 year old man who police say was involved in a hit and run accident that claimed a life was bailed in the sum of $5,000 when he appeared in the First District Court yesterday.
Dominic Emmanuel also known as āDiscoā of Victoria Street, was charged on Saturday for causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of an accident and failing to report an accident within 24 hours.
The August 1 accident claimed the life of 51 year old Albert Sampson, of no fixed place of abode.
Emmanuel has also been made to surrender all his travel documents to the police pending hearing of his case.
