ST. LUCIA Distillers Group of Companies has been awarded the prestigious Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point System (HACCP) certification for the production of rums, Liqueurs (cream and non-cream) and alcoholic beverages, by SGS the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company.

St. Lucia Distillers Group of Companies says it is committed to the production of alcohol beverages that are safe for human consumption. The primary objective is to ensure that the alcohol beverages are manufactured in a sanitary environment to the very highest standards using quality ingredients and packaging materials, which will comply with all relevant Food Safety Legislation and approved Codes of Practice.

In order to achieve this operating standard, St. Lucia Distillers says it is guided by the Codex HACCP Guidelines, the US Food and Drug Administration’s Code for Current Good Manufacturing Practices, Canadian Food Inspection Agency/Health Canada, St. Lucia National Food Safety Regulations and industry best practices.
