TABLE TENNIS EXCITEMENT CONTINUES

REX Resorts Eagles shocked Challengers 4-1 as matches continued in the National Table Tennis Premiere League Championship currently being played at the St.Lucia National Table Tennis Centre.

Chris Wells from the Rex Resorts Eagles won the opening match over Chris Hippolyte from Challengers 3 sets to 0. Team Challengers Adrian Albert answered when he overwhelmed Celestin Samuel of the Rex Resorts Eagles in straight sets 3-0. The doubles event was won by the Rex Resorts Eagles 3-0.

Wells then defeated Albert in a tightly contested match 3 sets to 1. The final game saw Samuel winning over Hippolyte 3 sets to 1 to secure Rex Resorts Eagles winning streak. Wells was the outstanding player of the match.

Veteran Jaguars crushed C. Enterprise Hawks 5 sets to 0. Veteran Jaguar Vandyke Jude started the action when he overwhelmed Wayne Benn of C. Enterprises Hawks to win 3 sets to 1. Teddy Matthews then added another victory when he outperformed Clint Alcindor of C. Enterprise Hawks in straight sets 3-0. The doubles event was then won by the Jaguars in straight sets 3-0. Benn then tried his best against Matthews but lost 3 -0. Jude who was determined to end the night on a high note did so when he won a close encounter against Alcindor 3-0.

Total Auto Dragons led by Bertlan Shepherd schooled the C.T.S.L. Combined Schools 4 sets to 1. Bertlan outplayed Combined Schools Andrew Daniels 3 -1. Derek Destang from Total Auto Dragons then added another victory when he crushed CTSL Combined Schools Mario St. Cyr 3 sets to 1.

The doubles event which went down to the wire saw the Total Auto Dragons narrowly winning 3-2. Bertlan then white washed Sunil Chitole in straight sets 3-0. The last match saw Daniels pounding Destang 3 sets to 1. The outstanding player of the match was Total Auto Dragons Bertlan Shepherd.
