Veterans Football Takes Break After This Weekend

THE Veterans Football Tournament organized by Veterans In Sports Inc. and Caribbean Alliance Insurance enters its final weekend of matches this weekend before the tournament takes a break and resumes in 2015.

Today three matches are scheduled for the Marchand Grounds. At 4:00p.m. Micoud plays Congorians; at 6:00 p.m. Mabouya Valley plays Gros Islet, while at 8:00 p.m. defending champions VSADC will come up against Caricom Masters.

Tomorrow 21, the action returns at the Marchand Grounds from 4:00 p.m. Soufriere against Nyabinghi, at 6:00 p.m.

Prophets and Kings plays Vieux Fort South and to bring the curtains down Dennery All Blacks meets Anse la Raye at 8:00 p.m.

According to the organizers, the six matches this weekend will be the final set of matches in the preliminary stage of the competition. The competition will resume in 2015 with the quarter finals, semi finals and finals at dates and venues to be announced.

Defending champions VSADC, Vieux Fort South, Dennery All Blacks, AnselaRaye and Behind the College All Stars have already confirmed their places into the next round.
