St Lucia
International Billfish Tournament October 20
– 23, 2011
The
St. Lucia Game Fishing Association is holding
its 21st Annual International Billfish Tournament
being hosted by the IGY Marina, Rodney Bay from
October 20 – 23, 2011.
Both Sponsors and Anglers are coming from around
the world to participate in this event. Major
sponsors include Treasure Bay Casino, Damoiseau,
Heineken, DuBoulays Bottling, Chairman’s
Reserve and Prestige Auto.
Catering and activities will be provided in
conjunction with Bread Basket, Ocean Club and
Boardwalk Bar.
Wednesday kicks off with a IGY Marina Managers
Welcome party from 6 pm, Thursday night Treasure
Bay Casino is hosting a welcome angler party
from 9pm, Friday afternoon/evening, the Boardwalk
Bar hosts Piton happy hour and music. Saturday
is the angler’s rest day and Ocean Club
will be the venue for the afternoon BBQ and
pool party. The BBQ is open to everyone and
is only EC$60 for the buffet lunch with wine.

Sunday
is our final fishing day and the weeklong
event concludes with an awards dinner at the
Bread Basket at 7:30 pm. Also open to the
public at a cost of EC$85.
Thanks and appreciation for making this event
a memorable one is given to Palm Haven Resort,
Exodus Adventures, Big Chef, Johnsons Hardware,
Crown Foods, Capt. Mikes, Import France, The
Harbour, St. Lucia Cold Storage, Café
Fresh, Spice of India. Café Lesueur
and M’Amour Jam have donated their wonderful
goods from Guadeloupe.
Boats return to the marina on Thursday, Friday
and Sunday around 5 pm. We invite everyone
to come and meet our neighbours and make them
feel at home. Hopefully someone will bring
in the big blue marlin and win a car sponsored
by Prestige Auto.
