SLNDA looking
for the finest players
There
is less than a month to go before St.Lucia stages
the World Council of Domino Federation World
Championship. On Tuesday evening the Police
Auditorium came alive as the Council Phase one
of the National Domino trials came to a successful
end as the St. Lucia National Domino Association
continues with its preparation to get the best
team possible for the stiff competition that
is expected from the participating countries.
According to an executive member of the SLNDA
this is to ensure that St. Lucia is successful
in defending its World title at the World Council
of Domino Federations (WCDF) World Championships
scheduled to take place from Friday 1st –
Sunday 10th October 2010 at the National Cultural
Centre in Castries.
The SLNDA selection committee met last evening
to reduce the squad which will then proceed
into phase two of the National trials which
will end on Thursday 9th September 2010, but
up to press time there was no word coming from
the SLNDA quarters as to who made the final
cut. Interestingly the final team which will
represent St. Lucia should be named on Monday
13th September 2010.
The National Team is expected to engage in some
fine tuning until the start of the World Championship.
