Over 800 runs scored in U-19 cricket trial

A classy century and five half centuries highlighted the first trial match for under 19 selectees from the north of the island preparing for the Windwards under -19 tournament played at the weekend.
Zone D taking on Zone B, batted first and scored 237 with Shervon Jean 59 and Curtley Louis 42. Bowling for Zone B, Chad Laurencin bagged 4 for 39. Batting a second time Zone D went on to score 274, Orie Changoo stroked a classy 103, Rick Velinor 55, while Jamal James picked up 4 for 42 in the process.
In Zone B’s turn at the wicket they amassed 330 Jamal James continuing where he left off with the ball scored a well played 64, Kurt Edward 62 not out, Dwight Thomas 55 Bowling for Zone A, Brian Olivier and Curtney Louis snapped 4 for 37, and 3 for 11 respectively.
According to information coming from the office of the St. Lucia National Cricket Association the second trial match for southern selectees will be played tomorrow Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th at the Piaye Playing Field. Meanwhile, the players invited to play are:
