Accela Marketing for 2010 Sports Awards

It’s amazing how times passes by so quickly as plans are already on the way for the hosting of the 2009 National Sports Awards on Saturday February 20th 2010 at the Gaiety on Rodney Bay in Gros Islet with a series of planning meetings.
According to reports, following the deadline of Thursday 21st January 2010, for the submission of completed nomination forms by national sporting organizations, only fifteen organizations successfully met the deadline.
Interestingly ten did not, and the Department of youth and Sports have taken a decision not extend the deadline, has been done. This is to facilitate the proper preparation of scripts, information dissemination, and overall organization of the event.
Management of the event has been awarded to Accela Marketing, as the Government of St. Lucia, through the Ministry of Youth and Sports seek to give due recognition to the island’s outstanding Sports Men and Women.
Earlier this week the Department of Youth and Sports met with Accela Marketing, to help develop a successful Public Relations and Marketing Plan in the hosting of the event, which involved the implementation of strategic timelines.
