Moto - X excitement this weekend

It’s excitement, thrills and spills this weekend as the St.Lucia Moto X Club is very excited to launch its 2010 program of activities. According to the SLMXC all did not go well in regards to sponsorship for the 2009 season therefore making it almost impossible to have a recognition evening for its members.
Interestingly coming to the rescue of the Moto - X Association is none other than Monster energy drink, and commencing from 1:30pm on Sunday 21st February they will be off and riding, Moto X enthusiasts coming to lend the usual support can rest assured the Monster Energy Drink National Super – Cross Championship and the Monster Energy Independence Race will be one to be remembered.
2009 was a mixed year in teams of competition, Moto -X enthusiasts who came to support the various events saw Daran Rosemond take charge on Bike # 7 as he copped the 1st place trophy ahead of Randy Grocravia on Bike # 97 in second for Martinique, and Rio O’Brian Bike # 51 for the third place silverware in the A - Class event.

 
 

With the return of Kevin Elcock on Bike #4 the 2006 National Champ, the mystery question is, who will be the Top Rider for 2010?
It’s a free invitation as the Moto Cross Association would also like all St.Lucia to come support and be part of its celebrations for St.Lucia’s’ 31st Independence, commencing today Saturday 20th, Piaye, Laborie look out for the Cars and Biker show plus. The 2010 Independence celebration will not be the same as the association again stages its annual Round the Island Ride.
The start of this event will be outside the Government buildings on the Waterfront and is schedule for a 9:00 am. According to the SLMXC all persons riding or driving must have the Island Ride T-shirt.
Interestingly the theme for this year’s ride is “Don’t waste it” in remembrance of club member Mervin Hippolyte. That is to say; there are times and things in life we must not take for granted, or miss out on saying to our loved ones and each other.
