They’re Back

The St. Lucia Young Olympians returned to the island on Sunday afternoon 29th August, after arriving on BA2159 at Hewanorra Airport at 1:45 pm. The team made their presence felt at the official opening of the newly named Vigie Playing Field now officially called the Sab Sporting Facility.
During their stint at the microphone St.Lucia Prime Minister Stephenson King and St.Lucia Youth and Sports Minister Lenard Montoute saluted the athletes for their performance in Singapore. Special mention was made of boxer Lyndell Marcellin for placing 5th overall in his category, certainly a tremendous achievement for the young and aspiring boxer.
The team comprised the following - Rosen Daniel, Athlete, and Cuthbert Modeste (Coach)
Boxing - Lyndell Marcellin, Athlete, and Renaldo Toledo, Coach, Sailing - Stephanie Lovell, Athlete, Ben Todd, Coach and Monique Devaux-Lovell, Official with responsibility for athlete well-being, Swimming - Julien Brice, Athlete, Siona Huxley, athlete and Jamie Peterkin, Coach and Chef de Mission for the delegation.
