Kiddy
Cricketers Prepare for Day and Night Showpiece
The
Ministry of Education in collaboration with the St. Lucia
National Cricket Association, Bank of Nova Scotia, West Indies
Cricket Board, Paradise Springs and Peter and Company will
be hosting a Kiddy Cricket Extravaganza on Wednesday 2nd April
2008 at the Beauchamp Playing Field situated in Micoud from
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A number of schools in District 5 will be on show to display
their skills in preparation for the day and night cricket
match Sri Lanka versus West Indies scheduled for Tuesday 15th
April 2008, at the Beausejour Cricket Ground.
Nine
teams have confirmed their participation to date and they
are: Aux Lyon, Ti Rocher, Patience, Micoud, Derniere Riviere,
La Ressource, Richfond, Mon Repos, and Dennery.
At the end of the day’s proceedings participants will
be awarded prizes for: most catches, most runs, most wickets,
best batting, catching, fielding, bowling skills displayed,
team spirit, discipline and most outstanding team.
