Climax Serves Beach Volleyball

On Easter Monday March 24th 2008 the Rex Resorts Beach was the home of the first ever annual “Climax Beach Volleyball Championship”. Climax, a herbal power drink with its tag line –“Stimulate your body and mind” was the presenting sponsor of the beach volleyball tournament. Other partners included, St. Lucia Volleyball Association, The Wave Radio Station, Choice Channel 39, Rex Resorts and Digicel.
The matches were played in two categories, Female and Male teams and the theme for the day was “Climax on the Beach”. A number of teams turned up at the beach for a fun filled day of high quality beach volleyball and also promotional games which allowed persons watching the actions to take part in winning prizes. The main tournament started at 12 noon and went on till 6pm.

The female finals were played between Peleng and V-Divas while the Male finals were played between Beach Boys and Spartans. At the end of the day V-Divas and Spartans were the Female and Male Climax Beach Volleyball Champions. The winning teams each received $500 cash and four cool handsets from our Telecommunication partner Digicel.
Mr. Brian Louisy – President of the St. Lucia Volley ball association was quite impressed with the level of support and commitment given towards the development of Volleyball by Climax in St. Lucia. Look out for more Climax Events in the near future.
