Victory for Babonneau and Corinth Secondary in Under 19 Cricket

Babonneau Secondary won a close encounter against Bocage Secondary by 4 runs in the 2008 United Insurance Under 19 schools cricket competition. Batting first after winning the toss, Babonneau collapsed from 86 for three to be all out for 114 in 23 overs.
Kemron Etienne top scored for Babonneau with a well played 36 and Wyid Lesporis chipped in with 24. Bowling for Bocage Secondary Irvin Isidore had an impressive haul of 4 wickets for 18 runs and Devan Charlemagne took 2 for 29.
In reply, when Bocage batted they lost wickets regularly and in spite of a last wicket partnership of 35 runs they were all out for 110 in 22 overs, only Martinus Preville who scored 13 reached double figures.

Bowling for Babonneau Vernantius Charlouis took 4 wickets for 24 runs; Nelson Nelson bagged 2 for 19 and Julian Roberts 2 for 29 respectively.
Meanwhile, at the Corinth Playing field, Corinth Secoundary playing on home turf defeated Entrepot Secondary by 8 wickets. Sent in to bat Entrepot had no answer to the bowling of Kurt Edward 4 for 10 and Danil Denis 3 for 9. Alphius Edmund was the top scorer for Entrepot with a spirited 27 and a fighting knock from the bat of Hasani James who scored 12.
The home team Corinth replied with 104 for 2. Alex Joseph scored 36 not out and Kurt Edward topped off a good all-round performance of the day with 28 not out. Bowling for Entrepot Secondary Imbert George and Michera Alexander took a wicket each.
