Saint Lucia’s reputation as a country offering more than sun, sea and sand is growing to the extent that groups, organizations and associations wanting something more than the usual tourist attractions to host their meetings are looking at the island.
One such association wanting something a little different is the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association. Members are presently in Saint Lucia holding their usual Winter Management Seminar 2012 programme.
One of Saint Lucia’s leading publishers and attorneys, former judge of the OECS Court of Appeals, Michael Gordon was the first speaker of the five day seminar which began yesterday at the Landings Resort, Cap Estate.

Gordon, who is also the publisher of The VOICE Newspaper - the leading newspaper on the island, spoke about the challenges and opportunities of publishing in Saint Lucia.
The discussions ranged from identifying new traits and skills that today’s successful salespeople must have or develop, to companies’ reliability on captive insurance companies ,to how to maintain a family business with revenue challenges to legislation that could impact newspapers, and more.
