Accident at Dennery

On Monday 23rd January at about 9:50pm an accident involving a trailer truck and a motor omnibus occurred at the intersection of the La Ressource Road and the Dennery Highway.
The motor omnibus registration number: M570 driven by Lucius Demar collided with the trailer truck registration number: T360 driven by Bertie Biscette. Reports suggest that the collision occurred whilst forty-seven year old Demar was attempting to turn onto the Dennery Highway in the direction of Castries from the La Ressource road.

 
 

In the omnibus with Demar were two female passengers Natasha Sandiford of Richford Dennery and twelve year old Toya St. Ange. Demar from Pierrot, Vieux Fort and Sandiford were seriously hurt in the accident. The two were taken to the Victoria Hospital where they were admitted with broken ribs and chest injuries respectively. Twelve year old St. Ange sustained minor injuries and Biscette, who is from Ti-RocheR Micoud, escaped the accident unhurt.
The circumstances surrounding the traffic accident are currently being investigated by Richfond police.
